NASHVILLE (May 26, 2017) – After a slow start on a beautiful afternoon at Vanderbilt Stadium, Nashville SC U23 found their previous form and defeated the Tri Cities FC Otters by a score of 4-0, extended their undefeated streak and season record to 4-0.

The windy first half saw 45 minutes of back and forth play with several chances for both sides, neither team able to capitalize.

The weather calmed down to begin the 2nd half and home side charged ahead on two crosses from the far side of the field.  The first of the crosses was pushed into the net by Venezuelan international Hector Cantele in the 48th minute.  The second goal was scored by Kyle McLagan.

The referee sent off Tri Cities’ Ian Foulger with his second yellow card in the 64th minute.  The Otters had to play down a man for the rest of the match.

Nashville SC U23 demonstrated their depth using all 6 substitutions in the 2nd half.  Skak Adams, Alex Stoiljkovic, Johnny Heckman, Fletcher Ekern, Trygve Ellingstad, and Brad Ross all took the field for the home team.  Alex Stoiljkovic added the 3rd goal of the game for NSC U23 in the 73rd minute with a bending free kick over the Tri Cities wall.

Shak Adams added a 4th goal for the home team converting a penalty after being taken down hard in the box.

Nashville SC looks to continue its undefeated season and initial stretch of home games when it hosts SC United FC, from Columbia, SC, on Sunday, May 28th at 7pm.  Tickets can be purchased here.
