Reno aims for third consecutive win as Roughnecks complete road trip

RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC can extend its winning streak to three games on Wednesday night when it plays host to a Tulsa Roughnecks FC side that is looking to bounce back from its first defeat in three games. Kickoff at Greater Nevada Field is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.

Reno 1868 FC news and notes

  • Current record: 2-3-2, 8pts

  • Reno recorded its first home win in club history on Saturday night with a 6-0 drubbing of Seattle Sounders FC 2 in front of 5,711 fans at Greater Nevada Field.

  • Dane Kelly led the way for a second consecutive game, recording a hat trick to move into the lead in the race for the USL Golden Boot with eight goals this season.

  • Kelly is the first player in USL history to record hat tricks in back-to-back games, and now has a league record 56 regular-season goals in his USL career.

  • With 10 goals in its past two games, Reno is now tied for fifth in the USL with 16 goals this season.

Tulsa Roughnecks FC news and notes

  • Tulsa saw its two-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday night as it fell 3-2 on the road against Sacramento Republic FC.

  • Juan Pablo Caffa had a goal and an assist, recording the assist on Joey Calistri’s early goal before tying the game from the penalty spot, but Sacramento found a winner to move above the Roughnecks in the standings.

  • Caffa has three goals and three assists this season, while both Calistri and Ian Svantesson have scored four goals apiece for the Roughnecks.

  • Five of the Roughnecks goals this season have come from outside the penalty area, with the side having converted 16.9 percent of its chances this season.
