Energy FC welcomes T2 looking for back-to-back victories

OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC will aim for its first back-to-back league wins of the season when it welcomes the Portland Timbers 2 to Taft Stadium on Wednesday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.

OKC Energy FC news and notes

  • Current record: 2-4-1, 7pts

  • Energy FC earned its second league win of the season this past Saturday as it defeated Orange County SC 1-0 at Taft Stadium.

  • Alex Dixon scored the only goal of the game for OKC, giving him three goals in the past two games in all competitions.

  • Dixon’s goal was OKC’s fifth goal of the season, with the side currently sitting with a chance conversion rate of only 7.1 percent this season.

  • Michael Daly has had a strong season defensively since joining OKC this offseason, and leads the team with 34 clearances and 22 interceptions this season.

Portland Timbers 2 news and notes

  • Current record: 1-7-1, 4pts

  • Portland is looking to move off the bottom of the Western Conference against the side sitting one place above it as it visits OKC on Wednesday.

  • T2 is winless in its last three games, but did earn a 0-0 draw against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in its last outing on May 10.

  • Portland welcomed a club-record crowd of 7,277 fans for the game against the Switchbacks at Providence Park.

  • T2 has also only found the net five times this season, and has been held scoreless throughout its current winless streak.
