Rochester Rhinos news and notes

  • Current record: 2-1-2, 8pts

  • The Rhinos return to USL action for the first time since April 29, when they took a 4-0 victory against Charlotte Independence at Capelli Sport Stadium behind four different goal-scorers.

  • Rochester’s most recently scheduled USL contest against Saint Louis FC was postponed from May 6 due to flooding in the St. Louis area. The game has been rescheduled for July 5.

  • The Rhinos were in action on Wednesday night as they took a 3-0 victory against FC Motown in the Second Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

  • Jalen Brown and Jochen Graf both scored in the opening 10 minutes against FC Motown before Rayane Boukemia’s late tally, setting up a game with GPS Omens in the Third Round at Capelli Sport Stadium on May 31.

Richmond Kickers news and notes

  • The Kickers were held to a 0-0 draw by the Harrisburg City Islanders in their last league outing at City Stadium last Saturday night.

  • Richmond was eliminated from the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup by Christos FC on Wednesday night as a late goal by Geaton Caltabiano sent the visitors through.

  • The Kickers have struggled in front of goal for much of the season, and have only scored four times in eight league games, tied for the second-fewest in the league.

  • Richmond could see two new additions make their league debuts on Sunday, with midfielders Matt Bolduc and Brandon Eaton having joined the club in midweek.
