Five different goal scorers propel the Home Team to victory

NASHVILLE (May 13, 2017) – The Nashville SC U23 amateur team did not disappoint in its highly-anticipated home opener defeating Peachtree City MOBA, visiting from the Atlanta area, by a score of 6 - 1.  In a game that featured 5 different goal scorers for NSC U23, the home team took the lead early and never looked back.

Martim Galvao opened the scoring for Nashville SC U23 in just the 3rd minute with a bending free kick from just beyond the 18-yard box to set the tone for the game.  The Portuguese international added another to his tally in the 29th minute.  Blake Wilson and Logan Paynter each added a goal to close the first-half with a score of 4-0 for NSC U23.

Ivan Alvarado opened the second half scoring just 2 minutes in with a left footed volley.  The Nashville SC goal was quickly countered by a goal from Peachtree City when the visitors rebounded a deflected shot for their only goal on the night.  Antioch's own Shak Adams would slip a ball past the Peachtree City keeper for the final goal of what was a very successful night for home side.

"We are extremely pleased with the result on the field and the first-ever home game experience we delivered to the nearly 1,000 in attendance," commented Nashville SC CEO Court Jeske.  "We are grateful to the fans that turned out, stood in line to buy newly released official team gear and followed the match on Twitter.  Together with these supporters and members we are leading the grassroots soccer movement in Nashville."

Nashville SC looks to continue its undefeated season next week when it hosts Tormenta FC, from Savannah, GA, on Saturday, May 20th at 7pm.  Tickets can be purchased here.
