Charleston looks to remain on top as Saint Louis returns to action

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Battery host Saint Louis FC on Saturday night at MUSC Health Stadium looking to remain alone at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, while Saint Louis will aim to break a three-game winless streak as it returns to action. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Charleston Battery news and notes

  • Current record: 5-1-1, 16pts

  • The Battery earned a 1-0 victory against Bethlehem Steel FC last Saturday night at MUSC Health Stadium, extending their undefeated streak to four games.

  • Trinidad & Tobago international Ataullah Guerra scored the only goal of the game, his third of the season, and was named to the USL Team of the Week on Tuesday.

  • Charleston was without leading scorer Romario Williams due to illness last Saturday, and could see him return to the lineup this weekend.

  • The Battery’s 16 points through seven games is the second-best mark in the club’s USL era. Charleston had 17 points through seven games in 2015.

  • Saint Louis saw its scheduled outing postponed last Saturday as flooding caused its home game against Rochester to be called off in midweek.
