Cincinnati looks to get back on winning track with König in squad

CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati will try to bring a four-game winless streak to an end on Saturday evening when it plays host to Orlando City B at Nippert Stadium, with new acquisition Danni König potentially set to make his debut after Wednesday’s trade with OKC Energy FC. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.

FC Cincinnati news and notes

  • Current record: 2-3-3, 9pts

  • FC Cincinnati earned a 1-1 draw with the Richmond Kickers last Saturday night as Jimmy McLaughlin’s 70th-minute goal leveled the score after Richmond had taken the lead early at City Stadium.

  • FCC’s four-game winless streak has matched its longest run without a win in club history. Cincinnati went 0-2-2 from August 13-31 last season.

  • Cincinnati completed a major trade on Wednesday, adding 2015 USL Most Valuable Player finalist Danni König from OKC Energy FC for Andy Craven.

  • König has recorded 25 goals in the USL regular season during the past two-plus seasons, and will look to regain his form in Cincinnati after having yet to find the net so far this year.
