HARRISON, N.J. – The New York Red Bulls announced on Saturday the club had signed NYRB II goalkeeper Evan Louro to an MLS contract. Louro becomes the eighth Homegrown player and third goalkeeper on the first team roster.
Louro joins seven current Homegrown players on the first team, including five that have seen significant time on the pitch this season. The Red Bull Academy product signed with the organization in February after three seasons of college soccer at the University of Michigan and four starts with NYRB II in his first professional season.
Louro appeared in four of NYRB II's first five matches in 2017. The South River, N.J., native tallied eight saves, including a clean sheet in his professional debut against the Richmond Kickers on April 1.
