Steel FC aims for second win against FCC this season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bethlehem Steel FC plays host to FC Cincinnati for the second time in the 2017 season on Saturday evening with both teams looking to get back on a winning track at Goodman Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.

Bethlehem Steel FC news and notes

  • Current record: 1-3-0, 3pts

  • Bethlehem fell for a second consecutive outing last Sunday as its first-half pressure failed to pay off in a 2-0 defeat to Orlando City B at Goodman Stadium.

  • Steel FC is now last in the Eastern Conference four games into the new season, with its lone victory having come against Saturday’s opponents, FCC.

  • Seku Conneh scored both goals in the first meeting between the teams this season on April 9 as Cincinnati was reduced to 10 men in the first half when Paul Nicholson was sent off.

  • Conneh is currently third in the USL with 15 shots so far this season, and has also created seven scoring chances for the side.

  • Cincinnati extended its undefeated run to three games in a 1-1 draw against Louisville City FC last Saturday in front of 20,473 fans at Nippert Stadium in the first River Cities Cup clash of the season.

  • FCC midfielder Aodhan Quinn scored the equalizer with 11 minutes to go against his former club after Brian Ownby had opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half.

  • Cincinnati will have winger Kadeem Dacres back available after he served a one-game suspension against Louisville.

  • FCC midfielder Kenney Walker is currently sixth in the league with 12 chances created, while both he and Corben Bone have recorded a pair of assists this season.
