Panama International Pereira Joins TFC II

21-year-old joins club on loan from Arabe Unido

VAUGHAN, Ont. – Toronto FC II announced on Thursday the club has acquired midfielder Luis Pereira on loan from Club Deportivo Árabe Unido. Pereira will be added to the roster upon receipt of his ITC, work permit and visa.

“Luis is an intelligent midfielder who covers a lot of ground defensively and adds depth to our roster,” said Toronto FC II Head Coach Jason Bent. “His range of experience will be an asset as we progress through the long USL season. We are pleased to get this deal finalized and integrate Luis into our group.”

Pereira, 21, most recently spent the past three seasons with C.D. Árabe Unido of the Liga Panameña de Fútbol and made a combined 91 appearances registering four goals in all competitions (league play and the CONCACAF Champions League). Pereira has earned one cap for the Panamanian National team. He made his debut with Panama on February 18, 2015 in a friendly match against the United States.
