Orlando looks to build on win as Saint Louis aims to snap streak

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City B takes aim at extending its undefeated streak to three when it hosts a Saint Louis FC side that is coming off back-to-back defeats when the two clash on Thursday night at Orlando City Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Orlando City B news and notes

  • Current record: 2-3-2, 8pts

  • OCB is coming off a 2-0 victory against Bethlehem Steel FC on Sunday that saw Richie Laryea score twice, and goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. record a five-save shutout.

  • Orlando took four points from its three-game trip to the northeast, earning a 1-1 draw with the Harrisburg City Islanders prior to defeating Steel FC.

  • Both Edwards and Laryea were named to the USL Team of the Week on Tuesday, and Edwards now leads the USL with 22 saves so far this season.

  • Orlando was the first team to complete the first quarter of its season on Sunday, with OCB having played eight of its 32 games in the regular season so far.

  • Saint Louis fell for a second consecutive outing on Saturday as the Charlotte Independence earned a 2-1 victory at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis.

  • Jose Angulo gave STLFC an early lead with his third goal of the season, but a brace by Enzo Martinez lifted the visitors to victory.

  • Thursday’s game opens a run of three out of four road contests for Saint Louis, which will also visit the Charleston Battery and Tampa Bay Rowdies prior to the end of May.
