Bicycle kick finish against Sacramento adds to No. 1 spot in SportsCenter Top 10

TAMPA, Fla. – OKC Energy FC forward Miguel Gonzalez’s bicycle-kick finish has been voted the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week for Week 4 of the 2017 season, adding to the acclaim it had already received as one of the leading early candidates for the USL Goal of the Year.

Gonzalez’s finish, which arrived after a flip throw-in by Michael Harris from the right hand side, was his first for Energy FC after an offseason move from Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. It proved the game-winner in the USL Game of the Week on ESPN3 against Sacramento Republic FC, and later that night took the No. 1 spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10.

Gonzalez’s goal received 47 percent of the poll conducted online at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Thursday morning. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC’s Masta Kacher’s curling finish against Real Monarchs SLC finished second with 23 percent, while Ottawa Fury FC’s Steevan Dos Santos’ finish from the halfway line against the Richmond Kickers was third with 17 percent.
