TAMPA, Fla. – Charleston Battery goalkeeper Alex Tambakis has been voted the Fans’ Choice USL Save of the Week for Week 3 of the 2017 season. Tambakis – who is in his second season on loan with the Battery from Atlanta United FC – made an outstanding fingertip stop to keep out a low shot by the Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ Kevin Kerr on Saturday night at MUSC Health Stadium.

Tambakis received 75 percent of the poll conducted online at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Thursday morning. Orlando City B’s Earl Edwards Jr. finished second with 18 percent for his big save at close range from Charlotte’s Yann Ekra that helped earn OCB a 1-1 draw with the Independence.
