Two SportsCenter Top 10 finishes, which one is your favorite?

OKC Energy FC’s Miguel Gonzalez had the soccer world alight on Tuesday night as his bicycle kick finish off Brian Harris’ flip-throw-in grabbed the spotlight in the USL Game of the Week on ESPN3.

Gonzalez’s spectacular finish took the No. 1 spot in the ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 on Tuesday night, capping a memorable night for the new Energy FC recruit.

It also came almost a year to the day since arguably the most memorable goal of the 2016 USL regular season. On April 9 last year, Sean Okoli marked FC Cincinnati’s home debut at Nippert Stadium with a finish that also landed on the SportsCenter Top 10.

So, which one is your favorite?

Okoli had already opened his account for FC Cincinnati the previous week as the club took its first victory in its history against Bethlehem Steel FC, but just five minutes into the club’s inaugural home opener against the Charlotte Independence he took the breath away of the crowd of 14,658 fans.

The goal landed at the No. 4 spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10, and set up a season that would see Okoli win both the USL Golden Boot with 16 goals, and the USL Most Valuable Player award. Now a member of New York City FC in Major League Soccer, Okoli’s moment of magic was one of the high points of FCC’s inaugural season.

Gonzalez had developed a reputation for the spectacular in his first two seasons in the USL with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, but none of those finishes compared to his strike against Sacramento Republic FC. Gonzalez’s first goal for Energy FC announced his arrival at the club with a bang, thrilling the crowd at Taft Stadium.

The finish, aided by Michael Harris’ flip-throw-in landed him the No. 1 spot on Tuesday night’s SportsCenter Top 10, and could help kick-start Energy FC’s year as it proved the winner in OKC's first win of the season. Reunited with his brother, Daniel, in OKC, the members of The Grid, Furia Verde and the rest of Energy FC’s fans will be hoping there’s much more of the same to come this season.
