Pais Joins Toronto FC

Offseason addition for TFC II signed to club's MLS roster

TORONTO – Toronto FC announced Tuesday that the club had signed goalkeeper Mark Pais.

Pais, 25, most recently signed with Toronto FC II on March 7. He has appeared and started in two matches for the TFC II to start the new USL season, recording one clean sheet ahead of the club’s Tuesday night contest with Orlando City B.

Prior to joining TFC II, Pais spent the past two seasons with Saint Louis FC of the USL, where he appeared in a total of 33 matches. Pais recorded 67 saves in 20 starts for STLFC last season and recorded a 1.50 goals-against average.

During his college career, Pais split time between the University of Tulsa and Saint Louis University. With the Saint Louis Billikens, he appeared in 19 matches starting in 15 recording five clean sheets. He then transferred to the University of Tulsa and appeared in 21 career matches registering eight clean sheets for the Golden Hurricane.
