Young D.C. United Homegrown defender Jalen Robinson had to wait until his third season with the club to see his first MLS action, but the 22-year-old’s experience in the USL helped make sure that when the time came, he was ready.
The former Richmond Kickers and Phoenix Rising FC loanee was featured this week in the latest edition of MLSSoccer.com’s series “The Prospect” as he looks to make his presence permanent in D.C.’s lineup. After 40 appearances in the USL, first with Rising FC in 2014 and with Richmond in 2015 and 2016, the former ACC All-Conference selection is working alongside teammates like U.S. international Steven Birnbaum to take his game to an even higher level.
