VICTOR, N.Y. – The Rochester Rhinos took a 5-1 victory against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Monday afternoon in a preseason scrimmage at the Pinnacle Athletic Complex as five different Rhinos found the net in the meeting between the USL Eastern Conference foes.

The match saw the clubs play in a non-traditional format that was broken into three segments – two 40-minute periods of play and then a 30-minute closing third. Both sides had chances early on, but the Rhinos took the lead in the 32nd minute when Rayane Boukemia swept home a finish from 10 yards off a pass by Jochen Graf.

Graf added to his assist in the second period, as he put home the rebound from a shot by Bradley Kamdem to make it 2-0 in the 52nd minute. The Riverhounds pulled a goal back nine minutes later when Nick Thompson headed home off a free kick, and it remained a one-goal game until the end of the second period.

The Rhinos widened their lead with goals in back-to-back minutes early in the third period, however, as Brandon Beresford’s goal in the 93rd minute was followed by a strike from Kamdem to make it 4-1. Rhinos midfielder Kenardo Forbes added the final tally with a driven free kick late on that capped the Riverhounds’ first loss of the preseason.
