CLEARWATER, Fla. – Saint Louis FC fell 3-0 on Wednesday evening to Major League Soccer’s D.C. United as former USL standout Lamar Neagle recorded two assists for the Black-and-Red at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex in the 2017 Suncoast Invitational.

D.C. hit the crossbar in the 12th minute as Sebastian Le Toux hit a first-time shot from 12 yards that clipped the frame of the goal and went high. Eight minutes later United took the league, however, as Alhaji Kamara provided a first-time finish that sent Neagle’s cross into the right corner of the net past STLFC’s Devala Gorrick.

Saint Louis almost tied the game six minutes into the second half when new addition Sebastian Dalgaard picked up possession on the left and cut inside his man before sending a shot to the far post that was cleared off the line by D.C.’s Chris Durkin.

Neagle recorded his second assist of the game in the 58th minute as D.C. made it 2-0, though, when he picked out Le Toux with a quickly-taken free kick. The Frenchman took the ball in stride and chipped the oncoming Gorrick to extend United’s lead.

Gorrick came up with a big save with 13 minutes to go to deny D.C.’s Jared Jeffrey in a 1-v-1 after the United midfielder had got in behind the STLFC, but the Black-and-Red added a third in the penultimate minute when a Lloyd Sam pass found its way through to Patrick Nyarko for a tap-in.

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Montreal Impact forward Anthony Jackson-Hamel scored a stoppage-time equalizer as the Impact played to a 2-2 draw with the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex in the 2017 Suncoast Invitational.

The Impact threatened early, and Philadelphia goalkeeper Andre Blake had to make a big save to deny Ignicio Piatti’s volley from the top of the penalty area, but the Union took the lead in the 34th minute as Ilsinho took a pass from Fabian Herbers and broke skillfully toward the middle of the field and fired past Montreal keeper Maxime Crepeau from 25 yards.

Blake was sharp again to keep the Union ahead a minute after Ilsinho’s goal, but the Impact leveled in the 68th minute when Nick DePuy scored after a run and cross by Chris Duvall. The Union almost hit back immediately as C.J. Sapong’s sliding effort was saved by Crepeau, two minutes later, while former USL Goalkeeper of the Year John McCarthy stonewalled DePuy's attempt at a brace by making a breakaway stop on the forward to keep the game level for the Union.

Philadelphia regained the lead with eight minutes to go when when Sapong converted a header from his knees after Ken Tribbett had centered after a long ball forward by Brian Carroll found the former Harrisburg City Islander in space. The Impact grabbed a late equalizer through Jackson-Hamel, however, when a low shot deflected off a Union defender and snuck inside McCarthy's post to earn Montreal a draw.
