OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC got a late game-winner from Sam Fink after Daniel Jackson had tallied his first goal of the preseason as it knocked off Rogers State University 2-1 on Wednesday night at Speegle Stadium.

Energy FC grabbed victory with four minutes to go when OKC’s Luis Martinez fired a free kick goalward that was knocked away by Rogers State goalkeeper Cody Gammill, but Fink followed the play and nodded his header home for what would be the game’s deciding goal.

The goal was Fink’s first as a member of Energy FC and marked the third goal scored in the 2017 preseason by a new offseason addition to the club.

Jackson opened the scoring for Energy FC in the 16th minute when he took a feed from Juan Guzman near the halfway line and streaked past a Hillcats defender before driving a shot past a charging Gammill for a 1-0 lead.

Rogers State tied the game five minutes into the second half when Kevin Kwarteng picked up a loose ball in the OKC defensive third and lofted a chipped shop past Energy FC keeper Jacob Lissek.

Energy FC’s next preseason match is on Sunday, Feb. 19, when the club takes on fellow USL side FC Cincinnati at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.  Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT.
