CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati announced on Monday it had acquired U.S. U20 forward Victor Mansaray on loan from Seattle Sounders FC for the 2017 USL season. The signing is pending league and federation approval.

Mansaray was named the No. 1 player in USLSoccer.com’s 2016 20 Under 20 list, and finished the 2016 season with five goals and two assists in 19 appearances for Seattle Sounders FC 2. He is currently with the U.S. U20 Men’s National Team in Orlando, Fla. for the team’s final training camp ahead of the announcement of the squad for the 2017 CONCACAF U20 Championship in Costa Rica.

“We are pleased to add Victor to FCC, a young attacking player who is currently with our U20 National Team and voted as the No. 1 U-20 player in the USL in 2016,” said Cincinnati Head Coach John Harkes. “We are looking forward to working with him and accelerating his development.”

Mansaray made history as the youngest Homegrown signing in Seattle Sounders FC history, inking a contract in 2014 as a 17-year old. He was the youngest player to appear in a fixture for the Sounders when he made his debut in an international friendly against Club Tijuana at 18 years and 34 days in 2015.

Mansaray is the second Homegrown signee from the Sounders to don the Orange and Blue. Sean Okoli, the 2016 USL Most Valuable Player and Golden Boot winner, was a Sounders Homegrown product in 2014.
