Montana native had 26 goals in 70 appearances for Sweden’s Bodens BK

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced on Tuesday the signing of former Bodens BK midfielder Eddy Prugh. The signing is pending league and federation approval.

Prugh joins the Switchbacks having spent the past three seasons with Swedish club Bodens BK. Prugh appeared in 70 matches for the Bodens BK and tallied 26 goals. He became the captain of the club in his second season with the team. Prugh was also nominated for the Unibet.com League Midfielder of the Year and a finalist for the Kurirenbollen, the award for best player in the North of Sweden.

"Eddy is a player we are excited about to bring in," said Switchbacks Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "He has had success with Bodens BK in Sweden. He is a fantastic two-way player that will help solidify the center of midfield for us. I expect him to contribute a lot this season."

Prior to his time with Bodens BK, Prugh was part of the Portland Timbers U-23s in the PDL. He also competed collegiately at Whitworth University and Oregon State University before graduating from Marshall University. A native of Bozeman, Montana, Prugh said he was looking forward to joining Colorado Springs.

"I'm so happy to be back in the Rockies and in Colorado which I've also seen as a strong soccer state," said Prugh. "I can't wait to meet up with the guys and Coach Trittschuh and continue to build the winning culture that they've had over the last two seasons."
