Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 standout Marco Bustos has been named in Canada’s 18-man squad that will face South Korea on November 11 in Cheonan. Ottawa Fury FC’s Maxime Tissot and Jamar Dixon were also named to the squad selected by Interim Head Coach Michael Findlay.

“We are looking to set a real solid performance standard with this match,” said Findlay. “The travel and logistics of this camp and opponent we will face in this match also provides us with an opportunity to assess the players' ability to adapt both on and off the field.”

Bustos has scored 14 goals for WFC2 over the past two USL regular seasons, and helped the side reach the USL Cup Playoffs for the first time this year. The 20-year-old was named as the No. 9 selection in the USL 20 Under 20 over the summer, and is the youngest player named in the squad.

Dixon earned his third consecutive call-up, after being named to the Canada squad for World Cup Qualifying against Honduras and El Salvador in September, and the team’s two international exhibitions against Mauritania and Morocco last month.

“It’s always a blessing and an incredible experience to be called to the national team, so I’m extremely thankful,” said Dixon. “The game is going to be an interesting one, as South Korea has a very good squad. I think it’s going to be a good challenge for us and I’m excited for it.”

Tissot also earns a second consecutive call-up to the side, after making 19 appearances for Fury FC during the past season. Tissot has made 10 appearances in his career for the Canadian National Team.
