Colorado Springs keeper earned 28 percent of online fan vote

After finishing the 2016 USL campaign ranked among the top-five in every major statistical category and landing a spot on the All-League Second Team, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC keeper Devala Gorrick has added "Save of the USL Playoffs" to an extensive list of accolades.

Gorrick's impressive reaction save on a left-footed effort from Kyle Greig of Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 edged seven other nominees to earn the distinction of the top save from the 15-game playoff slate.

Gregory Ranjitsingh's ascendant form continued through Louisville City FC's run to the Eastern Conference Final and the Mercer University product produced two saves that earned consideration for the best save of the postseason.

Eventual USL Cup champions New York Red Bulls II squeaked past City FC in a shootout to claim the Eastern Conference crown and that memorable matchup featured two of the top-three finishers in the Fans' Choice vote for Save of the Playoffs.

Ranjitsingh denied NYRBII standout Vincent Bezecourt with a diving stop that garnered 21 percent of the vote while Ryan Meara's match-clinching save on Ben Newnam in the shootout came in with 18 percent of the vote.
