Richmond Kickers defender Alex Lee has been named in the Guam National Team squad that will compete in the EAFF E-1 Football Championship Semifinal Round starting this Sunday. FC Cincinnati goalkeeper Dallas Jaye was also named to the squad, which will face hosts Hong Kong, North Korea and Chinese Taipei for a place in the final round.

Lee has been a mainstay for the Kickers since joining the club in 2013. This past season he made 23 appearances for the side, logging 1,516 minutes and recording a pair of assists as the Kickers returned to the USL Cup Playoffs for a sixth consecutive season.

Jaye made a pair of appearances for Cincinnati in his first professional season as he backed up USL Goalkeeper of the Year Mitch Hildebrandt for the expansion side. Jaye had previously starred for the PDL’s FC Tucson, while also competing for Xavier University.

Another pair of former USL players are in the squad, selected by Coach Darren Sawatzky, with goalkeeper Doug Herrick and defender Mason Grimes named to the team. Former PDL players Ryan Guy and Shane Malcolm were also named to the squad.

Guam will face Hong Kong to open the tournament on Sunday, with games against Chinese Taipei (Nov.9) and North Korea (Nov. 12) to follow. The group winner will join Japan, South Korea and China in the final stage.
