SAN ANTONIO – The USL has announced San Antonio FC will host the 2016 USL Operations & Sales Summit. All USL clubs will be represented at the annual meetings, which will be held from November 7-9 in the Alamo City.

“We are looking forward to visiting San Antonio for this year’s USL Operations & Sales Summit,” said USL President Jake Edwards. “San Antonio FC’s outstanding facility will provide the ideal venue for teams to come together and share best practices and ideas they will then be able to return and implement in their local markets, helping the USL as a whole continue to rise in its business endeavors.”

The USL Operations and Sales Summit is an annual event that provides workshops and training to USL clubs and their selected staff on ticket sales, sponsorship, game operations and team operations among other areas. More than 140 USL team employees, league staff and sponsors will be present for the three-day program, which will include tours and insight into Toyota Field and STAR Soccer Complex, the home stadium and training complex for San Antonio FC, as well as evening networking socials for USL and club staffs.

“We are delighted to welcome the USL and top executives from its clubs to our wonderful city for what is sure to be an enjoyable and productive several days of meetings,” said SAFC Managing Director Tim Holt. “The USL continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and San Antonio FC takes pride in being able to provide a great venue for this annual best practice and idea sharing forum.”

San Antonio FC was one of six USL expansion franchises during the 2016 season, and ranked fourth in the league and second in the Western Conference in average attendance (6,170) while also setting a new Toyota Field attendance record on April 9 as 8,466 were on hand for the club’s inaugural home opener against the Swope Park Rangers.
