NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville Soccer Club announced on Monday it has hired Court Jeske from Major League Soccer to serve as the team’s first Chief Executive Officer. Jeske will propel the club’s existing efforts forward as it prepares for its inaugural season in the USL in 2018.

“The opportunity to build a professional soccer club in Nashville was something I could not pass up,” Jeske said. “Nashville has all the ingredients to be a world-class soccer city, and we at Nashville SC are dedicated to creating a club that reflects and embodies Nashville’s welcoming spirit.”

Jeske previously served as Vice President of international business for Soccer United Marketing (SUM), the commercial arm of MLS. He helped organize Nashville’s Mexico vs. New Zealand international exhibition at Nissan Stadium on October 8. The game drew more than 40,000 fans, marking the second-largest crowd to attend a soccer match in Tennessee.

During his eight years at MLS, Jeske strategically orchestrated international events involving CONCACAF, the Mexican National Team, the U.S. National Team and elite clubs from Europe. He also has worked intimately with all 20 MLS clubs to support their growth in each local market.

“Court brings unrivaled knowledge and experience working with professional soccer clubs and national teams across Europe and the Americas,” said David Dill, co-owner of Nashville SC. “His entrepreneurial spirit meshes perfectly with our city and club. He is exactly the right person to build Nashville SC into a club that every Nashvillian can be proud of and take part in.”
