Charleston Battery forward Jeremy Ebobisse scored a hat trick, but the U.S. U20 National Team fell 5-3 to the Netherlands in the Four Nations Tournament in England on Friday afternoon.

Ebobisse was one of five players with USL experience in the starting lineup, joining defenders Tommy Redding (Orlando City SC), Marcelo Borges (New York Red Bulls II), Derrick Jones (Bethlehem Steel FC) and Victor Mansaray (Seattle Sounders FC 2).

Ebobisse, who had a goal and assist on loan late in the regular season for the Battery in the USL, opened the scoring in the ninth minute, and then leveled the score at 2-2 in first-half stoppage time off an assist by Arsenal’s Gedion Zelalem.

Ebobisse completed his hat trick just before the hour-mark after being set up by Mansaray, who was named the No. 1 player in the USL 20 Under 20 this summer. The Netherlands rallied late to take victory, however, handing the U.S. its second loss of the tournament.

The U.S. will take on England in the final game of the tournament on Monday as they look to end the trip on a positive note.
