PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Orange County Blues FC forward Trevin Caesar and Charleston Battery midfielder Neveal Hackshaw have been named in Trinidad & Tobago’s squad for this week’s final stage  of Caribbean Cup Qualifying, as the country faces the Dominican Republic and Martinique for a place in the 2017 Caribbean Cup, and automatic entry to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Caesar and Hackshaw’s selection means both will miss their respective side’s Conference Semifinals in the 2016 USL Cup Playoffs this weekend, as the Blues visit the Swope Park Rangers on Sunday afternoon, and the Battery visit Louisville City FC on Saturday night.

Caesar led the Blues with 10 goals in the regular season, and earned USL Player of the Week honors for his two-goal performance on the final weekend of the season that helped send the Blues into the playoffs. Caesar started for Orange County this past Saturday as it took a penalty shootout victory against Sacramento Republic FC in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2016 USL Cup Playoffs for the first postseason victory in the Blues’ history.

Hackshaw was a regular starter for the Battery as the club returned to the playoffs for a sixth consecutive season. Hackshaw made 22 regular-season appearances in his first year with the Battery, and was a second-half substitute in the side’s 2-1 victory against FC Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals of the 2016 USL Cup Playoffs.

Also named in the squad is former USL standout Kevin Molino, who claimed the league’s Most Valuable Player award in both 2012 and 2014 with Orlando City SC.

Trinidad & Tobago will host the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at Ato Boldon Stadium before visiting Martinique on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Martinique and the Dominican Republic will face off on Saturday, Oct. 8 in the other group contest, with the first-place finisher earning qualification to both the 2017 CFU Caribbean Cup and 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
