USL standouts Marco Bustos of Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Jordan Hamilton of Toronto FC and Anthony Jackson-Hamel of the Montreal Impact have been named in Canada’s squad for a pair of international exhibitions next week in Morocco. The selection marks a first for Jackson-Hamel, who led FC Montreal in goals this season in the USL.

“It will be a vibrant and positive environment for training, competition, and learning,” said Michael Findlay, Canada Soccer's Men's National Team Interim Head Coach in a statement. “Through our ongoing relationship and integration with our Men's EXCEL Program, we have an exciting group of young players who will begin to solidify their spots for years to come.”

The No. 9 selection to the USL 20 Under 20 this summer, Bustos has excelled over the past two seasons for Whitecaps FC 2, scoring 14 goals for the club in the USL regular season. An MLS Homegrown signing, Bustos could make his USL Cup Playoffs debut on Friday night when WFC2 visits Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

Hamilton, meanwhile, has made regular appearances for Toronto in MLS this season after competing in the USL over the past two years. Also 20 years old, Hamilton spent time on loan with Wilmington Hammerheads FC in 2014, and then appeared for Toronto FC II a season ago, recording eight goals and two assists in the USL. This season has three goals and one assist in 13 appearances for Toronto FC.

Jackson-Hamel shone over the summer for FC Montreal, and recorded nine goals in 15 games for the side after returning from injury mid-season. The 23-year-old also had a pair of goals in four appearances for the side in its inaugural season.

Canada will face Mauritania on Friday, Oct. 7, and Morocco on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Both matches will be played in Marrakech, Morocco.
