TUKWILA, Wash. – Seattle Sounders FC 2 forward Myron Samuel has been named in the St. Vincent & the Grenadines squad for the country’s upcoming pair of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying contests against the United States and Guatemala.
Samuel leads S2 with four assists this season, and has also scored three goals for the side in 19 appearances. St. Vincent & the Grenadines hosts the United States at Amos Vale Stadium in Kingstown on Sept. 2 before traveling to Guatemala on Sept. 6 for a clash at Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City.
Samuel is expected to miss three games for S2 while on international duty, starting with Monday night’s game against the Portland Timbers 2 at Starfire Stadium. The 23-year-old will also miss Seattle’s home-and-home series with Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, set for Sept. 2 at Starfire Stadium and Sept. 5 at McLeod Athletic Park.
