Blues, Galaxy II gear up for I-405 Derby with playoff positioning on the line

IRVINE, Calif. – Orange County Blues FC and the LA Galaxy II will both be looking to improve on their most recent outings when the I-405 Derby is renewed on Saturday night at Anteater Stadium with playoff positioning on the line for both teams in the USL Western Conference. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT.

Orange County Blues FC news and notes

  • Current record: 9-11-4, 31pts
  • The Blues split a pair of games in the Pacific Northwest last week to move into seventh place in the USL Western Conference standings.
  • Orange County took a 1-0 win against then-conference leader Vancouver before falling 2-1 to the Portland Timbers 2 on Sunday evening.
  • The Blues hold a two-point cushion on ninth-place Swope Park Rangers and 10th-place Real Monarchs SLC entering this weekend’s action.
  • Orange County’s 37 goals against this season are the third-highest in the Western Conference.

LA Galaxy II news and notes

  • The Galaxy II’s winless streak reached three games last Saturday night as they played to a 0-0 draw with OKC Energy FC.
