CARSON, Calif. – Jack McBean currently leads the USL with 15 goals this season, but the LA Galaxy II standout may not be with the team for the remainder of the season according to reports in England and the U.S.

Corner of the Galaxy’s Josh Guesman reported a potential deal on Sunday, with the Coventry Telegraph revealing on Monday the 21-year-old forward had been in training with the League 1 side and attended its opening game of the season on Saturday against Swindon Town.

McBean would be eligible for a United Kingdom work permit, as he holds both British and United States passports.

Reports say the potential loan would be for six months, which would rule McBean out of the remainder of the Galaxy II’s season. Los Dos currently sit second in the USL’s Western Conference as they fight to return to the USL Championship Game for a second consecutive season.

McBean is the leading scorer in the Galaxy II’s history, and has had a breakout season with Los Dos in 2016 with 15 goals in 17 appearances. His performances for the side saw the Galaxy sign McBean to a Homegrown Player contract in June, and he was also selected to the Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game at the MLS All-Star festivities two weeks ago.
