Meet the league’s top young talent, put in the spotlight in a two-week series

Since the inception of the league in 2011, the USL has evolved into not only a highly competitive league on the field, but also the major incubator of young talent in the United States and Canada.

Now, for the first time, we’re going to introduce you to the players who could be making headlines not only on the club level, but potentially internationally in years to come, with the first edition of the USL 20 Under 20.

With input from coaches across the USL, and insight from the staff at TopDrawerSoccer.com – the authoritative source on young professionals, college players and Academy prospects in the United States – USLSoccer.com will unveil the players considered within league circles as the ones to watch both now, and in the years ahead.

With more than 140 players eligible for selection – using the FIFA U20 World Cup age cutoff of January 1, 1996 – a wide net has been cast by USL teams to find the next top prospect from within the academy system, and from overseas.
