Both teams looking to rebound as they meet at Titan Soccer Complex

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Orlando City B will host the Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday night as both teams look for their first win of the season. Kickoff at the Titan Soccer Complex is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Orlando City B news and notes

  • Current record: 0-2-1, 1 point
  • Orlando is coming off a 4-1 defeat to Louisville City FC last Saturday, which saw the Lions take an early lead before succumbing at Louisville Slugger Field.
  • Richie Laryea, who it was announced last week would spend the full season on loan from Orlando City SC, recorded his first assist as a professional on Michael Cox’s goal in Louisville.
  • Laryea leads the team with three shots on goal. No other player in Orlando’s squad has more than one.

Harrisburg City Islanders news and notes

  • Current record: 0-2-0, 0 points
  • Harrisburg is coming off a bye week, and will look to earn its first points of the season after falling to Richmond and Charlotte so far this season.
  • The City Islanders took an early lead through Craig Foster against the Independence in their last outing, but then conceded twice in the first half to fall at Ramblewood Stadium.
  • Harrisburg has recorded four shots on goal in its opening two games of the season, second-fewest in the league.
  • Following Saturday’s game, Harrisburg will host its home opener against Louisville City FC on Friday, April 22 at FNB Field.

Series notes

  • This is the first official meeting between the clubs, but Harrisburg and Orlando have a history prior to the Lions’ joining MLS. Most memorably, Orlando took victory in the 2011 USL Championship in a penalty shootout against the City Islanders, while Harrisburg ended the Lions’ original run in the league with an upset victory in the quarterfinals of the USL Playoffs in 2014.
