OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC hosts Seattle Sounders FC 2 on Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT at historic Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City. The home opener for Energy FC comes following two road matches where OKC finished 1-0-1 with four points.

Tickets remain for the contest and can be purchased at the Taft Stadium box office beginning at noon on Saturday. The YouTube stream for Saturday’s contest is available at www.EnergyFC.com/Gameday.

Energy FC enters the contest after more than a week off following a dramatic 2-1 win over Colorado Switchbacks FC on April 4. Seattle enters Saturday night’s contest coming off its first loss of the season, a 4-3 defeat to Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Thursday night in Tulsa.

Energy FC is tied for the league lead in fewest goals allowed this season (2). Seattle leads the league in goals scored (13).

Taft Stadium was constructed in 1934 as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project and is owned by Oklahoma City Public Schools. The stadium hosted professional football games in 1968 as home of the Oklahoma City Plainsmen of the Continental Football League. Professional soccer’s Oklahoma City Slickers also hosted games there in 1982-1983, and (as the Oklahoma City Stampede) in 1984. The current renovation to the facility costs in excess of $12 million.
