TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC announced on Monday the signings of Scottish defender Gary Cennerazzo and Welsh defender Matt Whatley for the 2016 USL season.

Cennerazzo is a versatile defender, who can play either fullback position. He joins the Roughnecks after most recently competing for Spartans F.C. in Scotland, having previously had stints at Cowdenbeath, Arniston Rangers and Edinburgh City.

Whatley joins the Roughnecks from Port Talbot Town, becoming the second player to arrive in Tulsa from that club after Chad Bond a season ago. The center back has played both in his native Wales, and also in Sweden and Iceland.

The Roughnecks also announced on Monday that two of the club’s players will not return for the new season, with Kidd Nwabueze having reached an agreement to join Ararat Yerevan of the Armenian Premier League. Defender Ryan Price will also depart, after his decision to retire from the professional game.
