LAST TIME OUT: Saint Louis FC suffered a 3-1 loss to Richmond Kickers at home on Saturday night.  After Bryan Gaul put the hosts up 1-0 with a penalty kick in the 12th minute, Richmond scored three unanswered goals to win its first league game since June 7. The loss dropped STL FC to 1-5-3 at World Wide Technology Soccer Park this season.

THE OPPPONENT: FC Montreal currently sits in last place in the USL Eastern Conference standings but is coming off a 4-2 victory against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds last weekend. It was just the second victory of the year for Montreal, which hadn't won a league match since defeating the Charleston Battery 1-0 on May 14. Montreal is 2-6-1 at Stade Saputo this season.

THE NUMBERS: Wednesday's game could be a low-scoring affair between two teams who have struggled to find the net this season. Among all 24 USL clubs, Saint Louis FC ranks 19th in goals per game (1.06) while FC Montreal ranks 22nd (0.87).  STL FC has been better on the defensive end, however, ranking eighth in goals against average (1.38) while Montreal sits 19th (1.66).

ON THE ROAD: Saint Louis FC is in the midst of its busiest stretch of road games this season, as seven of the team's next 10 matches will be played away from home.  Of its 18 points tallied this season, 12 have been earned on the road.  STL FC is currently 3-1-3 in away games after taking four points from two matches in North Carolina earlier this month.
