Changes in USL staff announced
Director, W-League Operations, League Operations Administrator and USL Registrar positions filled
United Soccer Leagues announced today, the first three of several staffing changes brought on to bolster the league’s front office for the 2008 season. Effective immediately, Melanie Fitzgerald takes over the role of Director, W-League Operations, Amanda Duffy will assume the role of League Operations Administrator and Alysha Lathrop becomes the USL Registrar.

Seth Witkowicz and Paolo Acquista join front-office staff in Tampa
United Soccer Leagues announced today the strengthening of its Commercial Department by naming Seth Witkowicz as its Marketing & Communications Manager and Paolo Acquista as the USL/UMBRO Services Manager. Both positions are newly-created and one of the final components of the implementation of strategic initiatives developed by USL in conjunction with sports marketing and business development consultancy Soccer Solutions.

Economides joins USL staff
Former team owner, executive is new USL-1 Director
United Soccer Leagues announced the addition of Chris Economides to its management team as the Senior Director, USL First Division. A member of the USL Hall of Fame as a Builder, the former co-owner and co-founder of both the Rochester Rhinos and Carolina RailHawks USL First Division franchises joins United Soccer Leagues to oversee all league operations of USL-1.

USL announced the expansion of its corporate office staff via the creation of new positions and the restructuring of several others, a move intended to increase internal operating productivity, responsiveness to growth opportunities, and the level of service and communication to its 130 senior franchise and 600+ youth team members.
