At the midway point of their seasons, the new USL First Division clubs Austin Aztex and Cleveland City Stars will be looking to jump into the playoff race Friday night when the two square off for the third and final time this season. The broadcast kicks off at 8:00 pm ET.

For the first time since 1997, two USL-2 level clubs advanced to the US Open Cup quarterfinals Tuesday evening as Wilmington and Harrisburg upset their MLS opposition to advance to the elite eight. Charleston also knocked off an MLS club for the third straight year and the Rochester Rhinos advanced in penalties. At the close Wednesday, four USL sides remained, including at least one guarenteed for the semifinals.
