TAMPA, Fla. – USL announced the Super-20 League First 11 rankings for the 2012 season today, recognizing the league’s top clubs on a competitive and administrative basis. Triangle FC was named the top overall club of 2012, following a season where its women’s team advanced to the Super-20 League North American Finals.
The Triangle FC Super-20 women finished the regular season with a 9-0-1 record scoring 30 goals while only allowing five during their march to the North American Finals where they finished with a 1-1-1 record. The Triangle FC men narrowly missed out on a North American Finals berth after an 8-2-0 regular season in the South Atlantic Division.
For the second consecutive year the Crew Juniors took the top spot in the Men’s First 11 after an impressive run during the season finishing with a 7-0-0 record allowing a mere three goals in the process. The Crew Juniors continued the run through the North American Finals before falling in the championship game.
Force Football Club Academy finished atop the Women’s First 11 after a superb 2012 season. Force FC had a perfect regular season (6-0-0) outscoring opponents 36-1 during the campaign. The success earned them a trip to the 2012 Super-20 League North American Finals where they finished with a 1-0-2 record.
