MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Wave are thrilled to announce the signing of a new midfielder, Israel Sesay, pending league approval.
Sesay was born in Sierra Leone, Africa and emigrated with his family to the U.S. when he was 11. He has played for the U.S. Youth National and made his MLS debut with the LA Galaxy at the age of 17. In doing so he became the youngest player in Los Angeles history to appear in a game. Following his spell with the Galaxy, Sesay joined USL PRO club the Los Angeles Blues for the past two seasons. He has lighting speed and is a very technical player, which will both be beneficial to the Wave for this upcoming season.
“When I first saw Israel play in Los Angeles versus the U.S. Futsal National Team I was immediately drawn to his tremendous ability. His brings a high level of experience from his time with the LA Galaxy, LA Blues and the U.S. National Team. He also plays Futsal so he will be able to make a quick transition to the indoor game. He possesses a tremendous work ethic, great speed and is highly skillful. I am looking forward to seeing him play for us this season,” said the Wave’s Head Coach, Keith Tozer.
Season tickets along with mini plans and single-game tickets are now on sale. For more information on tickets visit www.milwaukeewave.com or call (414) 224.9283.
