Toronto Lynx Jrs. take home top honors

TAMPA, Fla. – USL announced the Super-20 League First 11 and Second 11 club rankings for the 2011 season today, recognizing the league’s top clubs on a competitive and administrative basis. The Toronto Lynx Jrs. were named the top overall club of 2011, following a season where both of their men’s and women’s teams advanced to the Super-20 North American Finals.
The Toronto Super-20 men lost in the championship match against the Columbus Crew Juniors, who they finished second to in the Midwest Division race. The Toronto Super-20 women qualified for the Super-20 Finals after finishing atop the New England Division.
The Crew Juniors took the top spot in the Men’s First 11 after they captured their second consecutive Super-20 championship. The Crew Juniors were undefeated in 2011 and continued that streak en route to the championship.
Victoria Highlanders FC finished atop the Women’s First 11 after a superb 2011 season. The Highlanders had a perfect regular season, which earned them a trip to the 2011 Super-20 Finals.
