OGDEN, UT -- The Ogden Outlaws are the newest team set to begin play in the Premier Development League (PDL) during the 2006 season.
This team will promote competitive soccer locally and will allow youth, mostly ages 18-23 to participate in this North American league.
“We are hoping to expand soccer past age 18 in Utah, because that’s when it seems to die out in this area,” said Mike Hickman, founder and head coach of the Outlaws, “I want the youth to have a chance to come, watch, and meet players who have taken their talents to the next level.”
The Ogden Outlaws will give players the opportunity to practice, improve and dedicate their skills for this competitive league. This team will also focus on the development of players to compete at the collegiate level and continue to develop skills in those already playing at the collegiate level.
“We also want to help bridge the gap between youth, college, and professional soccer,” said Hickman.
