MOVIN UP WITH MOOJEN >>

Well, just a little update from the past two weeks where we played Miami FC and Puerto Rico, both teams away.
Last Saturday we went to Miami to play my second game with the Impact. It was my first game after I got injured, which is what made me miss our prior game against Charleston. I was feeling good, with no problems on my ankle anymore.
I started the game on the bench. During halftime, coach put me into the game. It was a tough game in my opinion, where we faced a very good and fast team. We ended up winning the game, 1-0 and I was fortunate in giving the final pass that resulted on our goal.
It was a very important win for us, where we got three more points away and also I got my first assist on the season with the Impact.
This weekend we came to Puerto Rico. It was another very long and exhausting trip. The weather was good, but it was very, very warm. We could feel the heat while just walking on the street to go eat, for example.
So far, it was the team that brought the biggest amount of fans to the stadium, I assume. At least, they were a bit louder than my prior away games with the team here.
It felt a bit like playing back home in Brazil, where the fans are all game long screaming and supporting the home team. We ended up tying the game 1-1. During the first half, we were up 1-0 and I got my first goal with the team. It felt good in finally scoring my first goal here.
Unfortunately, in the second half they came up and scored a goal on us. It would have felt much better if we could have won the game, but it was not that bad.
We were facing not just a good team, but a team with the home advantage as well.
Now, we are flying back home. It will be another long trip and a long day getting back home. Well, that is it for today.
Thanks,
Fred Moojen
