Stoke City director to build full club for Aztex
United Soccer Leagues announced today a groundbreaking moment for sports in Austin as the city will soon be home to a USL First Division soccer franchise. The new club, Austin Aztex, will play in the USL First Division beginning in the 2009 season and will be affiliated with current English Championship side Stoke City FC.

Expansion PDL team to begin play in 2009
United Soccer Leagues announced Victoria, British Columbia as the first expansion team for the 2009 Premier Development League season. The launch of the Victoria Highlanders FC comes on the heels of the city’s successful service as one of the hosts of the U-20 FIFA World Cup and the announcement of the construction of a new westshore stadium, which was also unveiled today, scheduled to open in time for the first kick off.
Real Colorado adds PDL for 2009

Real Colorado has announced an expansion of its existing partnership with United Soccer Leagues. Effective with the 2009 campaign, Real Colorado has acquired a Premier Development League franchise that will likely participate in the Central Conference of the PDL. The team moniker will be the Real Colorado Foxes. The Foxes will play a series of friendlies in 2008.
Victoria unveils logo for 2009 launch
The future expansion Victoria Highlanders FC are pleased to announce the release of the club's colors and team logo as they continue their preparation for play in the USL Premier Development League in April 2009.
