
2007 USL Hall of Fame Class announced
Three individuals, six clubs to be honored at USL AGM
United Soccer Leagues announced the 2007 inductees for the USL Hall of Fame to be honored at the Annual General Meeting during the Hall of Fame and League Awards Dinner November 18 at the Hyatt Regency Tampa. Charlotte’s Mark Steffens, Long Island’s Giovanni Savarese and Richmond’s Rob Ukrop will be inducted along with six 10+ Clubs.
2006 USL Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
Balboa, Foudy and Lagos joined by special President’s Selection representing Original Six
United Soccer Leagues announced the 2006 inductees for the USL Hall of Fame. Players voted into the USL Hall of Fame were Marcelo Balboa, Julie Foudy and Manny Lagos, joining six Builders, four 10+ Clubs and six individuals representing the original six teams of USL in the first edition of the President’s Selection, one of two changes to the voting system.

United Soccer Leagues held the 2005 USL Hall of Fame induction at its Annual General Meeting Sunday evening at the Grand Hyatt, honoring 11 valued members of the USL family as Builders and nine franchises as members of the 10+ Club. The league also announced their annual season awards at the Hall of Fame Awards Banquet.

The 2004 Inductees for the United Soccer Leagues Hall of Fame were announced Monday. Eight individuals will be honored as Builders, seven franchises will be recognized as 10+ Clubs and Bret Hall will be inducted as a Coach at the organization’s Annual Operations Meeting November 4-6.
Being inducted as Builders are Jere Irwin and Hector Vega (Yakima Reds), Marcie and Doc Laumann (Hampton Roads Piranhas), Bob Lenarduzzi (Vancouver Whitecaps), Jeff Robbins (Spokane Shadow), Joey Saputo (Montreal Impact) and Larry Smyth (Central Coast Roadrunners). The seven 10+ Clubs are the Cascade Surge, Hampton Roads Piranhas, Long Island Lady Riders, Rhode Island Stingrays, Spokane Shadow, West Michigan Edge and Yakima Reds.

United Soccer Leagues announced today that 11 individuals will be inducted into the USL Hall of Fame on opening day of its Annual Operations Meeting November 7 in the Builders category. The Builders category honors individuals who have forged and built USL and the sport of soccer in North America. It is one of four categories in the Hall of Fame. The others include Coaches, Players and 10+ Club, which was announced yesterday.

United Soccer Leagues announced today that it will be holding its Annual Operations Meeting in one month at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater, Florida November 7-9. The yearly gathering of over 120 USL franchises from the A-League, D3 Pro League, Premier Development League, W-League and Super Y-League serves as the starting point for the following season as operational details such as schedules, playoffs and rules are determined.
