After narrowly missing the postseason at 7-3 in their inaugural campaign, the Ravens posted an 8-2 record in 1997 and played host to the league championship event. Earlier that year, the Ravens played host to the US Women’s National Team in a friendly at SUNY-Brockport, drawing a record crowd for a W-League franchise of 9,131 fans to the game.

After a six-year absence, the team returned to the postseason in 2004 after an 8-6-0 season.
