Despite posting just one victory in 10 games in their inaugural 1997 season, the Force went on to win the W-2 Championship in their second campaign with a 3-0 mark in the playoffs after going 7-5 in the regular season.

The club then moved up to W-1 in 1999 and has since been a leader among W-League clubs off the field with owner and founder Amy Snider regularly serving as an executive committee member.
