
Jeff McRaney joined the USL staff as Senior Director of Youth Development in May of 2007. He is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Super Y-League and Super-20 League and providing strategic planning for all clubs in those two leagues. He will also oversee the Olympic Development Program that is integrated with the Super Y-League.
McRaney’s extensive background includes serving on the staff for all of the various US National Teams during 1998 in a variety of capacities. This includes the youth, Olympic, and the full Men’s/Women’s National Teams. His team responsibilities took him to the 1998 World Cup in France, the 1998 US Women’s Cup, and the 1998 Goodwill Games.
In 1999, he earned the opportunity to implement and manage the first US Under-17 National Team Residency Program in Bradenton, FL. His five years there took him to 30 countries and three FIFA Youth World Championship tournaments. That program has produced the most prolific soccer talent ever to emerge from the US.
McRaney has a Master’s Degree in Sport Management and a BBA in Management from Georgia Southern University. He also brings marketing experience from the securities and exchange firm J.C. Bradford & Company. As a national account manager for a staffing firm, McRaney also recruited globally for several US Department of Defense contractors.
A native of Atlanta, McRaney now lives in the Tampa area with his wife Katie and three children Zoe, Gideon, and Connor.
