Tim Holt
President
Holt first joined USL as Director, USL First Division Operations in April 1999. He added the responsibilities of overseeing the operations of all USL senior leagues in November of 2002 and was named Vice President in 2004. He was promoted to United Soccer Leagues Board of Directors in 2007 and was named President of USL following the acquisition of USL by NuRock Soccer Holdings in August of 2009.

“I am grateful for the continued opportunity to serve USL and work with our franchises and clubs throughout North America,” said Holt following the sale of USL. “It is exciting to have new ownership undertaking an active hands-on role with our staff as well as with our teams. The expertise they bring to the table for USL as a business and for our member clubs will no doubt raise the level of success across the board.”

Holt's numerous responsibilities include the day-to-day management of USL business operations, developing and implementing the strategic plan for all USL leagues, the supervision of compliance with league regulations and policies, franchise relations, staffing and regular communication with the leadership of the US, Canadian, Bermudian and Puerto Rican Soccer Federations.

Holt served on the US Soccer Federation (USSF) Board of Directors from 2003-06, is currently the Men’s Professional Representative on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Board of Directors and has been co-chair of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Committee the past two years after previously serving on the USSF Disciplinary Committee. In 2006, Holt was named one of Soccer America’s ‘Rising Stars,’ recognizing the top American soccer executives under the age of 35.

Prior to joining USL, Holt was the Facility Manager for SoccerZone in Lansing (MI) where he was responsible for the operation of a multi-million dollar indoor sports complex. A product of the respected FC DELCO youth club in suburban Philadelphia, Holt also served as its Director of Tournaments in 1995 & 1996 organizing and operating a 200+ team national youth soccer tournament.

Holt graduated “With Distinction” from Penn State University in 1994 with a BS in Management. He went on to earn his Masters Degree in Sport Administration at Florida State University in 1998, while serving as the Coordinator for the International Soccer School at Florida State. He also worked in the Academic Support branch of the Seminoles’ Athletic Department.

A native of suburban Philadelphia, Holt is a member of the Radnor High School Soccer Hall of Fame and still ranks amongst the school’s all-time top leading scorers. He holds a USSF coaching license and has coached at both the elite youth club and scholastic levels.
